iPhone = Garage door opener?

I am attempting to make my iPhone open my garage. I am having trouble though. Does anyone in this forum know how to code? Thanks

The iPhone does not have rf capabilities that can talk to an opener you would need a bluetooth receiver that would talk to the opener or wire up wi-fi to the opener. A hardware gear head would have a good time with this one.

You are right. I have hooked it up to my router. I know I have it wired correctly. I just cannot seem to figure out how to have the iPhone talk to the router to "open". I believe i need to create a program on my comp and ssh it onto my phone. Any other thoughts?

i recall there was an app to change the tv channels even but you had to have a device connected to your iphone for it to work
