Iphone g3 oput

Who didnt expect a premium for 3g service, honestly? Plus 40 bucks over the course of 2 years is great for the added gps and 3g, at least in my book. And before you say "40 bucks more like 240 Lawl" youre saving 200 upfront and paying 240 over 2 years.
 
Are the first gen iPhones even still going to be available after the 3G comes out, or are they going to stop making them and replace them with the 3G version?
 
I want to sell my 4GB I can unlock and jailbreak it, but I dont have a backup phone to use until the 11th, maybe i'll hold on to it and see what happens in a few months
 
I know it doesn't help with unlocking, but isn't the new software update going to allow you to use 3rd party apps without jailbreaking it now?
 
Yeah your right, i'll probably just unlock it then and wait and see where the 1st gen market is at towards the end of July. I wont get alot for it anyways since its a 4gb
 
last week i bought a 10/10 condtion 8gb with warranty until jan '09 for $280. i think prices are going to be at their lowest about now b/c the info is coming out about how the setup of the 3g iPhone will be. the desire for the first gen will go up b/c, based on the reaction so far, people do not want to pay $15 extra per month and a new 2 year contract for basically the same phone except for 3g and gps. especially since att 3g network is still lacking greatly.
 
Hahaha, ATT finally got smart and made it so they have to be activated instore. Means people get locked into a contract immediately and can't just buy the phone to unlock and resell
