Iphone backlight is not working!!!!

My iphone 3g's backlight wont work after i got the phone wet. Meaning that the screen is completely dark unless you put the screen in direct light. I checked settings and tried to checked the "brightness".I tried to reset the settings. I restored it. Nothing works.

u need to check main board plug and see if there is wather damage area, or change display, because it
 
got same problem change lcd doesnt fix the problem..looking in mainboard but dont know where to start
 
Same problem here, with a iPhone 3Gs. No light, and the problem it's PCB. Any idea, schematic, help? Pleaseeeeeee.......
 
Clean the connection on the board and lcd flex with a stiff toothbrush and alcohol not the cheap stuff you have
in you bathroom, go to CVS or Walgreens or a Walmart get the 91%+ alcohol not the 70% stuff (water is what got
you in this mess) clean the water damaged locations and use a heat gun ot a HOT hair dryer to dry things up
if it still dosent work then the lcd has been shorted out REPLACE then lcd..
 
i try with 3 different LCD but the problem is the same. There is no water damage in this phone i look everything on MB under microscope and i can't find the reason why backlight not work?
 
For Me the Same Probleme i Try 2 lcd who working in other iphone 3gs but working withot light in this iphone, There r any solution
 
Hi My 3Gs have also no backlight, and I can see that the display connection on the motherboard is bad. By bad I man that to pins is disconnected probably because of a short circuits. Does any one know the connections from the display connector to the power manager IC?

Fanbang I have tried that but i'm not sure that I no the negativ connection point at the power manager IC, I got the positive pin/point. Can anyone please help?
