iphone and yahoo mail?

When i access my email on my iphone4, and do not open any emails, just look at the preview, the emails on my PC show as if they had been opened (not bolded). How or what do I do to not have the emails on my PC look as if they've been read ? Apple says the iphone does not control anything on the PC regarding read or not read
