Yesterday I waited in line for a ridiculous amount of time for a new product (the new iPhone 4) for the first time in my life. SEVEN hours at a well-known mall in Miami. I arrived at 6:30am, the store opened at 7am... I didn't get my phone until 1:30-2pm and the line in front of me was not even ridiculously long. I preordered my phone thank goodness, because they made a huge line of people who had not preordered leave around 9:30am because they were running out of phones.
While in line, some people said they had friends that pre-ordered and had it shipped to their house and it arrived a few days early.
Needless to say, we had a lot of pissed people in line. Did any one wait in line longer for their new iPhone? Or have it shipped to their house? Or does any one have any recommendations to not make this type of event such a horrible experience in the future?
Right now, NEVER AGAIN will I wait in line on the first day of a product launch. But maybe someone has some advice. I'm an electronics junkie and its hard for me to not want the latest thing, haha. Thanks in advance for any advice for the future!
