Verizon said that it will roll out its first 4g cell phones in mid-summer 2011. At almost every major Iphone event, it was speculated it would go to Verizon which it never did, so all of you "Verizon Iphone" speculators about it coming in January... Why would Apple/Verizon invest in switching the Iphone over to cmda networks, only to have Apple have to switch it over to LTE later on? Wouldn’t it make sense that Apple would wait until its annual Iphone event in the summer to announce it going to Verizon? The Iphone undergoes a major revamping around every summer, so it would be logical for the "Verizon Iphone" to come up around then, when Verizon said it will have 4g phones available. Why would Apple invest in the dying 3G market in Verizon?
NOTE: Verizon 4g will launch 12.5.20 FOR MOBILE BROADBAND; they still need optimize the LTE network to handle the large data required by millions of smartphones, which they announced will happen mid 2011, so this throws out the argument that the January 2011 model will be 4g.
