I am planning on getting a new phone (after 3 years!) and I've narrowed it down (price-wise) to the apple iphone 3gs (not 4 because it's too expensive where I live), the nokia n900 and the htc desire.
I am currently leaning towards the n900 because it seems to be very flexible and hackable and the camera seems great. But what's bugging me is the lack of multi-touch and apps. What I think is great though, is that it looks like it has an active development team, and with MeeGo or Nitdroid, it seems that it's OS will never get old. And I love it's "computer-like feel".
What bugs me about the iphone is the camera and the lack of keyboard. But of course, the huge amount of apps is great, as well as the type of touchscreen it uses.
The HTC desire seems nice, but mainly because of the huge amount of android apps and multitouch, but I dunno, it doesn't 'feel' or look nice.
Basically, I want a phone with a good camera, wifi (and thus social networking out of the box), durability and an active team behind it.
I dont care much for games, but a plus would be if it's "musician friendly". Meaning, has apps for musicians (tuner, synth, drummachine).
