iPhone 3GS 4.0 old bootrom JAILBREAK

iPhone 3GS 4 OS old boot rom, released before 40th week of 2009.

i don't know the previous condition(about jailbreak and unlock) of this phone. i bought this phone on ebay which is updated to 4OS.

is there any way to Jailbreak this Phone.

i checked the boot rom. it is old boot.
i saved 4OS shsh.

Please suggest me the possibilities

Before try to jailbreak with spirit, downgrade to 3.1.3, then you can use spirit and unlock

When can i expect the Jailbreak?
 
was able to dowgrade to 3.1.3 but after unlock no gsm signal, wifi ok, but no gsm signal????
 
Yes, you can jailbreak and unlock 3gs 4.0 old bootrom with Pwnage 4.01 using Mac. Also, there's new way to do with windows now..do little search in this forum in apple section and you'll find it..for windows, it's a long procedure but with mac its very easy...
 
I tried mac method pwnage 4.01, but i was unable to restore the custom firmware. it is showing error 1600.

I searched the forum and little bit confused with the softwares and the procedures.

Can u tell me the windows method. its o.k even it is long procedure.
