Iphone 3g stuck on "connect to itunes" screen and isn't showing up on itunes?

So my friend just gave me his iphone 3g and i made an attempt to jailbreak it. after trying black ra1n it stopped on the connect to itunes screen and stayed there for like 7 mins. i panicked and "x"d out of black ra1n and now not only does it show on the connect to itunes screen it doesn't show up on my itunes..and its not recognized by my computer and it was recognized before the pathetic attempt..please help
