Iphone 3G 5.13.04 No signal bars after unlock.

Whats the problem here.
Upgraded to IOS 4 the backed down to 3.1.3.
Pwnage 0.94 jailbreak and then upgraded Cydia and installed ultrasnow.
It searches and finds carrier after ultrasnow installation but no signal bars at all.
If i try to make a call it only say call failed.
Previously it was not activated but i installed activated custom firmware 3.1.3.
Please help.......
 
MY friend installe the new ultrasn0w from here SiNfuL iPhone Repo
and tested ......no forget to unanstalle old ultrasn0w the first
 
well i can say for sure that something is wrong with some of these iphone after they are jailbroken......i have one here with the same problem and i tried everything in the book and nothing seems to work.....now i kinda giving up on it
 
try to reset network settings from Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset Network Settings
 
If you are using tmobile usa. Turn off 3g then toggle airplane mode waiting for carrier to dissappear. Also if you used no wifi method, you must reboot twice. Hth
 
If its exactly thesame problem as above. Check for any previous hardware unlock process. eg extra sim
 
Same problem here, Nothing works for this unit - MB496T
Tried everything that i can come up with............
It seems like it will always be a very expensive Ipod
 
When i check under: Settings >> General >> About >> network it say : Phone not alowed
 
Still does not work......
I kind of hate this stupid iphone.
What i realy cant understand is why it is still locked to any carrier as it is more then 2 years old.
Unlock should be done automaticly when contract is fulfilled.
That cannot be a big problem to solve whwn everything is done by electroics.
I really hate Apple
