Hello gusy any solutions for " NO SERVICE even on Original AT&T simcard iphone 3g 16gb that had liquid damage ( DEAD) then I made it work again but always " " NO SERVICE " ( no signal )

I tried to restore it to 3.1.2 still no luck, I change the bottom whole charging dock still no luck

install the board from working iphone 3g housing with all working component parts still " NO SERVICE "

I know is a hardware but I don't know where to look for the problem....
Please kindly help if you already encounter this problem and solve, thank you

1. try 112 and see if it makes call.
2. Try manual search and see if it "finds" any network

From my experience it could be the antenna switch which is the one in the bottom on the right without any casing on top of it. If not even that try to change the PA which is above it.

g luck mate

I tried all SW and search manually still no luck

Can you let me know which one is the antenna switch chip and the PA?
because I'm not really good at hardware

If you have picture it will be helpful thank you

before trying to replace any or all of the indicated modules clean well around them. It could be something simple without the need to go into more work.

eh one thing... if you are not into hardware how did u manage to get it back to life? by just cleaning?

IMEI is good, ICCD is good. I know is hardware but I just don't know the solutions

Not yet still looking for a less painful procedure
Because like I said I'm not good in hardware & never took out any chips on any phone before... and lastly is hard to get a working board for iphone

Can I reheat this two chips?
I know one has glue on it so is not safe

Take a look at the back of the board in the same area as in the picture above. There should be a capacitor near the point where the antenna connects to the board,at the very bottom edge.If it is damage or eroded from water damage,re solder it or remove the damaged capacitor and join the two point with solder or a small piece of copper wire.

monkay, sorry but I cannot picture what you are saying
Kindly provide me a picture on where to find that capacitor because I'm not that good with hardware... thanks for your reply

Providing phone is not blacklisted, tried network reset. Then, the only solution for you is to reflow antenna switch,RF IC and skywork power amp. Normally, if those guys are dry joint, after reflow, within 5 minutes, if u lucky, signal may come back to you!
However, if you are new to hardwear repair, you try it at your own risk as if you owerheated the power amp. The phone will not power up again because you shorted the Power Amp. Hope that helps... Good Luck!

Yes, after gently heating hot gun with RM-233 signal back, phone works perfect.Remember....gently.

I have a similar problem with my iphone 3g. The GSM signal will go to 5 bars right after reboot and drop to 'searching for service' within 30 seconds. It will come back for a few moments here and there. Do you think a reflow of the PA and antenna switch will help with this? When you say to heat gently , what do you mean exactly? I have a hot air rework station that i have used to repair xbox 360. Same temperature? What temperature should I use and for how long? Thanks in advance for any help. I'd really like to get this phone fixed.
