Iphone 2g blinking apple logo

Hi
ive got iphone 2G with blinking apple logo.
tried to restore but dosent work
trying to put it dfu mode by pressing home and power button but no luck.
some time when i conect to my pc it sayes " usb device not recognized "
any help will be appriciated ,, thanks in advance
 
first of all you should try software update method... restore your iphone to 3.1.3 firmware and do it Jailbreak with redsnow using 3.1.2 firmware...

If no success with restore then go on hw side...

USB connectors been cleand very well
tried old iphone charger (2G) not 3G/3GS and its charging now
but the home button not working and when i conect to pc it says usb device not reconized.
when i try to switch off its switch back on itself
 
must use usb 2 port . if you can switch on but can t put dfu mode means problem with home botton then open the iphone and check contact under the button s flex.first put in itune and make update .try home button if it works then ailbreak and unlock.
 
manage to change the home button but still the same problem.
keep saying " usb device not recognized "
