i need to vent:

got an iphone tonight - got a promotion today, thought i'd celebrate a bit, went down and picked it up.

took it out, plugged it in
thought i was all set since i already have ATT and have a data plan

but then i'm told the iphone will not work with a business account. now, i probably should have known this based on the amount of iphone news i read, but i never saw anything about this. like everyone else, i'm reading reviews about the keyboard, not about rate plan restrictions.

so now i can either:

(1) return the phone and pay a $60 restocking fee and feel like a douche.

(2) try to ebay the phone for cost or less (like a douche)

(3) ask my boss to call ATT and release the number, take me off the office account, then call myself and "accept" the number, then set up an entirely new account on my own with personal responsibility for the bill with a 2 year commitment, have the bills sent to my house, and ask my boss to either pay me for the bill (like a douche) or pay for my own cell phone when i could otherwise be getting a free cell phone through work.

so you could say i screwed myself, or that ATT/apple screwed me.

either way, it's a shit-show.

the majority wouldn't touch the average user.

but, as with all apple stuff - they keep you in the dark, and it's the ones who want to do *more* that end up bumping into the walls.

you SURE there's a restocking fee? Is the iPhone a special case? Cause usually At&t gives you 30 days...

If there's a restocking fee, i'm sure you can get it waived.

So, basically, what you're saying is you failed to read any of the very well publicized terms and conditions before plunking down $600? (like a douche)
