Well I'm in a dilemma I want an iPad and my Girlfriend has offered to get me one for my birthday in December. I thought well that's cool, however if I was buying one I would get the 3G one which is about $730, I don't want her spending that much money on me, and told her not to and that the WiFi I would be happy with as I (probably) won't need the 3G.
However just the other day I mentioned this to a friend and they said, I would be stupid to let her buy it for me as they are usually updated in March, so In a few months a new one will come out.
So right now I don't know what to do,
Tell her not to buy me one and wait and have to spend the money for myself whilst getting a newer iPad as well as 3G as that's the one I would buy.
Or
Just tell her she can, and getting the WiFi only model iPad 2, but not having to pay for it.
I would really enjoy having the 3G and going to get the new iPad when it came out but making me lean towards waiting and then I am sometimes a bit reluctant to spend money like that which makes me think knowing me I'll just put it off when the time came. :\
Any Suggestions?

P.S if she buys me one I CANNOT return it that would be insulting.
