I just downloaded ios 4.0 for my 2G ipod touch with an 8gb hard drive. Be for I was running 3.1 or what ever it was I had just over 3GB of free space on my ipod. after updating to the new ios 4.0 I got a message telling me that my ipod was almost out of space. I had plenty of free space before so I looked and found that the "other" category was now taking up 3.26 GB of space leaving me with only 27.9 MB (enough space for one small app) of free space!! I have NO videos or photos on my ipod, I only sync checked songs and I convert Higher bit rate songs to 128 kbs AAC. I don't know what to do I can't buy a new ipod and even if i took all the apps off of it I would only have about 2GB free. If you know how to free up more space or if there is something ells I can do peas write back.
