That episode was actually....great. There was actual plot progression

Now I'm just unsure of who to really view as the antagonists here. I haven't watched Inuyasha since the Band of Seven Arc, so maybe that's why I'm confused about all this. I mean is Kagura still supposed to be a villain technically or what? One minute she's trying to kill Kohaku and the next minute she's being victimized by Hakudoshi. Ah well, I was happy to see some development in this show finally. And thank God we only had to deal with Kagome's school life for just a couple minutes

Kagura is more in the middle of hero and villain, in the start of the series she is a villain, but as the series progresses she begins to turn away from Naraku as she wants to be free.

Janyse Jaud is going to have a lot of fun when she dubs this episode.

"All right, after all these years of waiting I can FINALLY voice Kagura aga-wait, I'm DEAD? ALREADY?"

The story continues. New episodes of InuYasha start on October 3rd with the original Japanese voice actors all returning for their roles. It's scheduled to be 26 episodes long and will conclude the series. The new episodes will be aired on Saturdays in Japan and be streamed hours later with subtitles on HULU for those in North America to watch.

It seemed a little more gory. Like in the opening part, when Goryomaru blasts the demons, the sound effects assisted too, it just seemed... different.

The opening and ending are very nice. Is it just me, or do their eyes seem bigger? :P

^ Ha, but Kagura's English VA also does Kanna. Except Kanna doesn't talk much. xD

Wow, same title carRAB, music, animation style. That's gonna be a pretty seamless fit with the old series in people's dvd collections.

They also picked a nice choice for the intro, since that's probably going to be the last one for the series.

So pumped for this!

I hope they cut out all the Tetsusaiga Upgrade arc.

26 episodes could be a good thing, or be very bad... We'll see.

If they cover a little under a volume in every episode, then this plan will never fail! See, silly?! Problem solved.[/sarcasm]

False hope for a potentially successful episode format formula is false.

Meh, who knows what they can do?

Holy crap... That was too fast. Where is the standing around in the middle of a fight? Where are the flasrabroadacks?

Besides that, its great to see some new Inuyasha after all these years.

Episode 1's airing right now...

Though... they didn't do a use a recap of any sort, which I was hoping they would. So far, they're continuing as normal... Acting like not even a couple years have passed since it last broadcasted.

If you guys are wondering, they went through a volume and a half in just this one episode. I guess I won't have to worry about any of the good stuff being cut out if there rushing through some of this.

I really love the new Ending. Both the song is great and the flasrabroadacks to earlier episodes made it really work. I saw scenes with Bankotsu fighting Inuyasha, Inuyasha using the wind scar against Princess Abi, and Inuyasha freaking out in the stone demon's stomach. Of course I loved both the Band of Seven and the Last Shikon Jewel shard arcs so I was glad they were included in what is likely the last Ending credits for the series.
