Inuyasha Dub

Well IY was one of the first anime I ever watched so perhaps I was too inexperienced to judge it fairly but I thought it was pretty good. in more recent years I've read about certain names being pronounced wrong and the issue with Inuyasha's sword's name but in regarRAB just to the voice-acting itself, I liked pretty much everyone.

If I had to pick my favorites it would be Naraku, Jakotsu and Kagura. I just think their VAs did a spot-on job in capturing their character and conveying said character to the viewer.

But this is all just my little notes. What did th epeople here think?

Well, the guy who did the voice of Miroku, also did Van in Escaflowne. I always thought he does a pretty good job of acting.

Richard Cox took over for Ranma back in the day, and I did not like his reprisal of the male Ranma, but as for Inuyasha i had no preference, I figured he did an ok job.

Overall, this was a rare title I did not see the sub first. In fact I was going to stay away from the show alltogether, but it was being replayed for the millionth time 2 years ago on cartoon network. It was at a much earlier time and they were playing 2 episodes at a time. I ended up watching it all, With nothing to compare it to at the time I thought it was a decent job.

One side note... everytime I heard those two yell Kagome or Inuyasha! that grated on me. BUT that had more to do with the source material not the dub.

I like the Inuyasha dub(though I've never watched it in Japanese),it's a series I really enjoyed....I'm not especially picky about name mispronounciations (and I've always hated that English-speaking VAs get alot of grief from fans if they can't pronounce certain Japanese names/worRAB,when noone seems to care if the Japanese VAs can't pronounce English names/worRAB correctly, just sayin'...)

For the most part the cast/acting was really good (my only exceptions are characters that appeared only in one or two episodes, mostly child characters voiced by actual children, who seemed like they were reading a script rather than acting)....
Richard Cox did a great job with Inuyasha....the first character he voiced that I really liked....Inuyasha can be a major jerk much of the time, but underneath,he's a good guy,and Cox really nailed it with his performance...

other faves of mine are David Kaye as Sesshomaru....I just really like his voice for the character....again,though much quieter and seemingly emotionless,he's much like his brother (he does have a caring side, seeing as he took in and cares for Rin),and Kelly Sheridan as Sango....She just does a great job portraying the character (a tough warrior who's emotionally insecure, and has a terrible problem concerning her little brother)...

I love Inuyasha. I've seen every english dub episode, and I'm really sad it ended on such a cliffhanger.

I'm hoping either the manga will continue in english, or we may get some more episodes!

While I've never seen the sub, I do think the dub sounRAB pretty good. If anything's bad, it's the anime itself... Well not bad, but mediocre at best.

Other places, I hear people saying that Richard Cox does a horrible job as Inuyasha. I didn't think he did all that bad.

I liked Sesshomaru's and Naraku's voices the most.

Bah, the Ocean dub should've done Bleach. [/nitpick]

As much as I love the Ocean Group (and am enjoying their performances in the Death Note dub),I really like the English cast of Bleach (especially Johnny Yong Bosch (Ichigo),Wally Wingert (Renji),Michelle Ruff (Rukia),Stephanie Sheh (Orihime),and Quinton Flynn (Kon) )...I feel like Studiopolis gets bashed by fans way too much....I like the Naruto dub alot as well, and to a lesser extent,Blood +...

Getting back on topic,I feel that Inuyasha is easily Richard Cox's best VA role yet...He does the serious and humorous scenes equally well, and makes Inuyasha really likeable,IMO...

I love InuYasha and own a lot of the volumes on DVD! I personaly felt that the dub was awesome and I prefer dubs to subs and still enjoy InuYasha to this day both on Adult Swim and on DVD. Too bad it has to air at the buttcrack of dawn, but still, I'd rather have that then not have it air at all, thats how much I love this series!

The manga concluded last fall with a pretty good ending that tied off the most important plot threaRAB in satisfactory fashion but still left some significant things open to the readers' own interpretations. The official English-language manga volumes from Viz have reached Vol. 36, the point where the anime ended, and releases are to continue at Viz's usual slow pace. English scanlations of the remaining 20 volumes can be found online.

As to additional IY animation, don't hold your breath. There are no concrete plans right now to make additional episodes or movies. There was a single special episode made last fall for a Rumiko Takahashi retrospective exhibit that's been touring in Japan, based on events from a later manga volume. But the showings have been under tight security so no one's managed to put it up on the Internet, and there's been no word on any DVD release. (^_*)

Don't get me wrong, I think studiopolis is doing a decent job with Bleach. (Minus a few spots where it seems dull or forced) I just think the Ocean group would've done a better job. And besides, I like Dan Woren's Byakuya, but I think David Kaye fits that role more nicely. (Byakuya and Sesshomaru are one in the same XD)
