Intruder/S50 differences?

What changes were made when the the Intruder 800 became the S50? This info will help with finding parts that will still fit the S50.

This site doesn't search for three letter strings so it's hard to find things like the S50 etc. DrBob has described the Intruder/S50 a few times so try searching his posts and might find what you need.

Most of the changes are cosmetic in nature. Example: the S50 lost the sissybar / passenger backrest / tool kit holder as standard, but gained it as optional. The S50 went to a dragbar style instead of buckhorn bars. The S50 has a one piece seat design whereas the VS800 has a two piece seat. S50 lost the chromed covering of the license plate holder, it's black plastic on the S50.

The S50 has four-way flashers also. But the two models are 99% the same.

Cool....never knew that. I know it has that "flash to pass light" as well, but figured it was trivial to mention.
