Hi everyone,

I'm starting this thread as a place for people to introduce themselves when they sign up. I'll start.

I'm James AKA Darkwing (shh don't tell anyone). I live in Lynnwood, WA and work as a network engineer. I've been riding motorcycles for 19 of my 27 years and commute on mine every day I can. I had a 900 Monster for 5 years, but my current bike is a KTM 625 SXC which I'm keeping for commuting. I also have a deposit with Ducati Seattle on a standard 1098.

Your turn

Greetings,

I'm Carl, I live in West Hartford CT I'm a cop in Hartford. After not riding for 20 years or so, last time on a dirt bike, I decided to get into street bikes. I saw a picture of a Monster about 5 years ago and thought if I ever decided to ride it would have to be a Ducati. I bought an 04 620ie thinking I'll start off small and see how I like it. Well, I liked riding enough in the short month I rode it to put a deposit on a ten-nine-eight. I'm now reading everything I can about riding and am gearing up for the spring.

No, I'm not spoiled rich. I sold stuff to buy the bike.

See ya out there.

Was paring down to just one bike in '01, In '03, wife got me a track riding school session. Now I have 3 ducs (and one Wing), race, and got involved with a dealership! This is getting better and better! How did I get here, must be living someone else's life?

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you guys know that for those who have photo albums, it will show in the left column under your username. Same goes with the registry submissions!

I am (obviously) a web developer. Some will know me from other projects I do. I felt like the introduction of a new generation of Ducati motorcycles was a great time to introduce a new Ducati site to the web. This ducati site extends far beyond just a forum, and creates many features I believe assist towards connecting members from all over the world.

As for me, I am a motorcycle enthusiasts. Especially an italian motorcycle enthusiast, although right now i am on a Japanese bike, that will soon change. I am in love with Italian design, whether it be motorcycles or cars. I love it all.. I fell in love with Tamburini's 916 years ago!

Hello all, Nick from KC here. I've had my 998 since I bought it new in Italy. Rode the hell out of it there for a year then moved here to KC.

I loved the 916/996 from the first time I saw one, and always wanted one but figured I couldn't justify the extra cash for one. The I moved to Italy for a few years and in the middle of my tour picked up my Yellow 998 Bip. I wish I would have gotten a Duc sooner, but I'm glad I got the 998. I never cared much for the 999 aside from it's tach and speedo, and figured I'd never trade up the 998. We shall see how the 1098 strikes me in person.

Howdy,

I live in Virginia, and usually commute on my Triumph Sprint. I also like to do track days and have an RC-51 for that. I saw the pictures of the new 1098 and am working on getting one

Hey all, my Name is Van. Just like the rest of you here, I fell in love with Duc's the first time I saw one. I've always wanted to own one, but am just now getting a chance to make that a reality. I've raced since '98 (mostly endurance), been on motorcycles since I was 13, and am looking forward to my first Duc!
I just finished my MBA last week and will be leaving for Air Force officer training in March so, when I finish, I will purchase a 1098s as my dual graduation present... To myself!

Hi everyone, my name is Rod. I live in the UK, have been riding bikes for over twenty years and have owned Ducatis for the past 9 years starting with a 748SPS, two 998S and two 999S before I decided on a change and bought a Monster S4RS. Owned it for eight months but could never get on with it and once I strted to hear rumours of the new 1098, I just knew I would be back on a faired sportsbike again. I am currently working for Shell flying oil rig workers out to the platforms as a professional helicopter pilot, which I began doing eleven years ago.
