Hello DucatiSpot. I am from Orange County CA and I have a new Red 1198s. I have had the pleasure to ride a 2001 M600 for five years and flogged it hard and sufficiently enough to earn my new ride.
My inital rides began close to home in one of our local canyons, Ortega Highway. After two days of hitting the local roads, I ventured out and rode to Paso Robles with two friends. We rode every up and down through twisty roads untill we completed our 600 mile trip with a one night stay.
I have currently logged 1,350 miles and it has only been four weeks! I can't keep myself off of this beautiful motorcycle.
Ducati Newport Beach is the best dealer in the west. I was treated with utmost care and attention during my purchase. In my quest to buy this bike, I shopped two other dealers and needless to say, I had a horrendous experience at one store, was unimpressed with the next, and when I was finally exasperated, Ducati Newport Beach opened their doors and they are only two miles from my home. In fact, they sold me a bike with virtually nothing in the store. No bikes to speak of, no clothing, not even an office to write up the sale. Talk about service!
I will post pics soon, I was just told that my Termi's are in, so I want to dress up my ride before I post again.
One last thing, my screen name is directly a result of the Parson Russel Terrier that has owned me for 14 years. We are a perfect match--we are both small and scrappy.
Eileen
