Intro for research paper on Abe Lincoln?

I am writing this research paper on Abraham Lincoln and I cannot think of an intro to put on it. I need something to grab the readers attention that does not have an I or you in the sentence and then i have my thesis statement which i already have. So i just need some ideas on the actual intro! please help me
