Internet Troubles?

Is anyone else having internet problems today? I haven't been able to connect since about 9-10am, EST (in the greensboro, nc market). I've called customer service 5 times, and the most I can get is that they would refresh my account and for me to reset the phone (and some have said try *228), yet nothing.... Mogul is coming up invalid username or password and saying to check it and try again....anyone else having the problems?
 
I just got an email from Cricket offering their Broadband service, so my guess it should be available here soon in the Dayton, Ohio market.

Perhaps this coincides with your Internet problems? Maybe they're working internally for this update.

My Internet is working just fine via 1050 EVDO PRL.
 
I thought that too (broadband/evdo rollout affecting it).....and i just tried the 1050 prl for the 3rd time and nothing...still the "Your username or password is wrong." message...irritating
 
I have also been experiencing this problem over the past 3 or 4 days, in Denver, CO.

I have had pocket pc's which would only work with prl 1050, one that would not do data with any evdo prl, but would do 1x with 1040 loaded. Mostly I have been getting invalid username/password.

It's really frustrating... hope it's a temporary problem.

I will say, I do not like the new PRLs, #1006, and especially #1007. Call me crazy, but those PRLs have an entourage of problems.

I don't think its a problem with limited sites, because I can't even get to gmail or google, which were both allowed sites (as far as I can remeraber) before they opened it up to every site. I'm seriously thinking it's overall internet problems, cause my fiancee (on a cricket lingo) started having internet problems in the last week or two as well, and stopping and restarting the phone connection did nothing (neither did an account refresh)...if there is a bigger problem, either cricket doesn't realize it or isn't telling anyone about it, otherwise the 5 different customer service reps (2 supervisors) I talked to Thursday would have done a bit more than blame it on my account using a flashed phone....
I'm pretty sure there are some people on the forum that actually work for cricket in one way or another...can one of them give us anything they might have heard?
 
I'm in Phoenix, AZ and all is fine for me. The only thing out of the ordinary was the 1st time I tried to open the portal home page I got a 404-not found error. I just hit end and restarted the browser and all was working. Maybe it is an East Coast or regional problem.

Who else is having problems with the internet and what market are you in?
 
I've had issues with Ev lately had to hard reset my phone to see if that would do the trick. Am able to connect with the standard 1x PRL but not the 1050 Ev...good to see I am not the only one with this problem.
 
hey guys just *228 the new prls are out...so for some weird reason the old ones are acting up.. i got a new evdo prl ota on my pocket pc and everything's working again here in tucson. I started having problems the same day that the broadband service came out
 
nah you're definately not the only one, theres a thread (on the pda forums maybe) about others having problems, but you're at least one step above me (still can't connect at all, even at 1x prl from *228, prl 05303)...either get the same old "username or password is wrong" message, or a new one of "unable to connect for an unknown reason"...
 
JuanPerez: I use a HTC Touch and my internet on the phone is working fine. Sometimes i get that message here and there. Don't ask me why that happens your guess is as good as mine. I did notice though that if you go to your Comm Manager and Manually turn off your Data Connection and then go back to Internet Explorer and try it again it should work this time. My best guess is that if you let your connection idle to long it cuts you from the system. I remeraber that used to happen to me alot back in the day with Dial-up...lol...which is basically 1x...LOL Let me know if that works.
 
Did a hard reset on my phone hoping to fix the EV problem and it didn't help at all. Just ended up getting stuck on the "connecting" part....I don't even get an error when it doesn't connect it just won't connect. Am getting 1X fine though, but I'm so used to EV speeRAB...noooooooooo....they need to fix this ASAP.
 
My internet hasnt been working in months i have no clue what is wrong with it. I havent changed anything still using wap.mycricket.com 8080 and i still get the you do not have access to this site.

I get that for any site i try to go to other then the cricket portal. Is there a problem anywhere with NY? :crying:
 
Same issue here, my voyager doesn't even connect to the server, i get an error code like "ERROR: Requested Content (in my case google cause that's my home page) cannot be accessed", at least im not the only one as i can see my the replies
 
your solution:

make sure that you have web on your plan...then, if you do, have your account refreshed by calling cricket and telling them to refresh it...
