Internet sharing with Bluetooth?

I have a Tungsten t/3, and as I understand it from reading other posts, I can use a USB Bluetooth adapter to share my PCs cable modem internet access, but at limited range. Is this correct?

I'm considering getting a wi-fi and a router with a WAP, but for now I just want to be able to access the internet with my T/3 if my wife is on the computer. I don't care if I have to be in the same room.

Does anybody have any suggestions about any higher quality adapters out there?

Personal opinion: if you are going to be buying a router anyway, consider getting a Bluetooth Access Point instead of the USB dongle-thingie. The access point will be much easier to configure, and, because you don't have to load drivers on your PC, much less likely to cause other problems.

Belkin's F8T030 is the only one I have used myself. There are several available on eBay going for prices that are competitive with store-bought dongles.
