Internet in the dorms

This weekend I didn't have internet and it was the shits. Friday afternoon I made an appt. with Res Net Depot (The people who take care of computer problems in the dorms) for 1 this afternoon. I ended up having to leave my laptop with the guy for a total of 3 hrs. When I got the call to come pick it up, he said he couldn't fix the problem. So, I went straight up to my fiancee's room and plugged my ethernet cable into his port. Guess what, it worked. And now I'm down in my room with working internet again. A hardware problem my ass. He just couldn't figure out what was wrong. Oh well, at least I have internet for now.
 
i hate that, the wireless in our dorm gose out almost every day, so nobody gets internet. we have come close to start a betting pool as to when the internet will go out. its sad.
 
It's been my experience that on-campus internet systems are woefully inadequate. My off campus ethernet connection was the bomb diggity. (Although my wireless right now sucks major hairy balls. It fucking blows.)
 
Took my husband to the beach last summer. He missed his computer so much, he started typing in the sand.
