Internet Data Pack Vodafone?

I'm on contract, £15 a month for, unlimeted texts and 300 minutes and no internet usage in the deal. (VodaFone)

So if I was to buy a data pack, for an extra £5.11 a month (total £20 give or take)

Could I then use my current contract and the data pack on the new phone (iPhone 3gs)?

So would i be able to browse internet on the go without connecting to Wi-Fi hotspot?
