International Veriosn T-3?

New Egg is advertising a T-3 International Version, Palm Model# P80870CN for $299. While the price is great I'm a little worried but the "International Version". Since the model # ends in CN, and the American version ends in US, I assume it's a canadian version. Would I have trouble with support and Warrantee if I registered this model in the US (Kentucky)?

Thanks,

You would have to e-mail Palm to get a definitive answer but my guess is that it would affect your warranty. If it's not the US version, Palm usually will only ship warranty repairs back to the country of the version, in this case Canada. I wouldn't take this deal unless I knew the answer for sure.

It includes the Japanses language. That is the only difference.

However, it comes with no cradle or software I don't think. Atleast it doesn't list any.

When I bought my T3 from newegg about 2 weeks ago, I was originally going to get the internation version for 299. Then I clicked the regular version and it was like 399 with a 65 instant rebate, so I got the whole deal for only like 330.

The rebate doesnt show up unless you add it to your cart, I think.

I bought my international version in Hong Kong. It gave me a choice of Chinese or English. One big difference I noticed was that Documents To Go was not burned into rom. Instead, Quick Office came on a cd. From what I have read in other threads, it sounds like I am lucky that I don't have an extra installation of D2G. I actually ditched Quick Office in favor of Documents To Go 6 Premium.

My T3 did come with a cradle and an international power adapter. I don't know what is bundled with the T3 you are looking at. There should be a cradle, stylus, flip case, power adapter with size adapter, and a cd. Hope this helps.
