Intermittent wireless connection on a Mac?

I've been getting an obnoxiously unstable wireless signal from my home network today, just on my laptop (Mac), while the desktop (PC, hooked up via Ethernet) is accessing the Internet just fine. I'm new to Mac, the thing's not 3 weeks old, so I've got no idea what sort of troubleshooting steps to take, since what I'd generally do with my last laptop (PC) doesn't seem to apply. I've already tried.

Also, when I say intermittent, I mean that it cuts out every minute or so. It's been going strong for almost ten minutes now, so maybe it's fixed of its own accord, but I wanted to get the question out there should it completely die some time soon. The only thing I've done that's worked for the short term was to run Network Diagnostics every single time it cuts out. Which is all very well, but I've done it about 50 times today.

Any help much appreciated!
