Ok here it goes, I plan on going to the San Diego comic con this year and will be taking some samples of my writing with me. Coincidentally, this year's theme is focused on writing. Anyhow, my writing samples consist of excerpts from my scripts: a pilot episode of a cartoon series and an animated feature film I'm writing. Others include info pages on my novels, short stories,etc... and some short film ideas/scripts. Anyway I could use some critique/feedback on my ideas for some short film scripts I plan to write here's some of them:
Alley Catz- Got the original idea back in 2007. Alley Catz focuses on the misadventures of Raphael, a stray cat who's snatched off the streets in Westwood, CA and is placed on the set of a cat food commercial. Despite what he's been through he meets and quickly befriends Gina, who happens to be his feline co-star. During the commercial shoot the two cats wind up in one mishap after another.
Blackout- A Smallville short film of sorts. When a blackout hits the city of Metropolis Clark and Lois try to find out the problem which isn't so easy when everyone is stumbling in the dark.
Everybody hates school- A V short film, in an effort to patch things up with the humans and Vs, Anna announces that younger Visitors(i.e such as those in Lisa's age group) will be enrolled in some of the local schools. Lisa later finds out she'll be going to the same school as Tyler, so far Lisa's first day isn't so great and she winds up in one mishap after another; meanwhile, Ryan goes down to the courthouse to settle a case with a person claiming to be his long-lost brother.
Sick day- Another short film... when cold and flu season hits everyone tries to dodge it but one person in particular, Chad Decker catches a cold from a co-worker and eventually it goes around and pretty soon Chad isn't the only one with a cold when he finds out Marcus and several others have caught it. Film ends with the cast fully recovered from having a cold with the exception of Anna who is the next person that gets it.
96 hours- The cast of Smallville cross paths with other characters and celebrities at Comic con.
The title for the short 'Everybody hates school' is loosely based on Everybody hates Chris.
But anyway those are some of my ideas. Think these might be interesting stories for writing samples or what?
