Interesting Situation

as most of you may know, Halo 2 comes out november 9th which is a tuesday. I live about 3 hours away from the place i went to high school, Sarasota. I have a reservation made in june of last year to pick up Halo 2 on its first shipment in Sarasota. I recently got invited to a party at a friends house in Sarasota on saturday the 30th. All the kids i used to hang out with are going to be there, but the problem is i only have enough money to do one of these two things. I called the game store, they said they would hold it for 48 hours and then i would have to wait until next shipment (nov 16) to get mine, if any were available. i'm already leaning toward just going to the party, but none of these kids were like my "best" friends, my roomate is the only real close "friend" that i got out of high school, shes going, but i'm already going to spend the night at her place that night, so i dont want to put her out by bumming a ride and spending the whole weekend there. ask questions if anything needs clarification.
 
i would go to the party and download the game or if you cant download it anywhere i would still just go to the party. I didnt really like the first, but then again im not big into the first person shooters.
 
Download halo 2 and go to the party. When you get more money buy the game on the second shipment. Until then you can enjoy the single player game and play on "cracked" servers.

p.s. Halo 2 is pretty nice;)
 
get halo 2 bcouse if they were not really your best freinds then you might get bored and not talk to them a whole lot and you have been looking forward to geting this for a while im guessing so it would be lame to give all the up for 1 night witch prolly wont even be that fun for you get the game and knock yourself out!
 
maybe i'm blowing it out of proportion, but i'm not looking at this as simply as that...i'm looking at it as a metaphor for my life...am i gonna be that guy that puts video games above all else, including human interaction....or am i going to be that impulsive stoner guy that does what ever he can to smoke a little weed.

I'm hoping this is for PC(if not it's a waste anyway), if so; finding a copy to download shouldn't be very hard at all. I rarely ever buy a game that I haven't downloaded first. I'd go smoke and have fun while halo 2 is downloading.:)
 
whoa whoa whoa WHOA. halo on the pc...you have got to be kidding me..that game was made for the xbox controller...i wouldnt think of trying to keyboard and mouse my way through that game.... xbox live son...way better than some random kid's server if you can even connect...and if i dont get by penis slapped by the F.B.I for downloading a pirated version of a microsoft product...you get the chair for that dont you?
 
LOL, first person shooters were originally designed for computers. Only people with shitty PC's, or no clue, play them on Xbox, which is a PC btw. I promise you; any computer player has much more comtrol with a keyboard and mouse. I just finished playing halo 2 a little while ago, because I can...can't do that on xbox can you? Xbox live...some kids shitty server, you my friend are obviously clueless about computer gaming, the weed is really getting to you. Yo, son that shit is wack, ya erd. :rolleyes: :cool:

p.s. Halo 2 on PC is using new shaders and graphics technology, both hardware and software. Halo 2 on xbox is using 4 year old graphics hardware with "close enough" software, written to squeeze the last of the life out of an aging technology. Choose 2nd best if you wish, I'll stick to PC gaming.(on some kids shitty server)

EDIT: Yes, if you're a dumb fuck and use kazaa you deserve to get busted.

Fuck the game, you can get it later. Go to the party, but drink instead of smoking weed. You'll probably have a better chance of hooking in, too, it's a bloody winner all round

if we cant talk about video games without you getting wood, i'm afraid i'm going to have to call you mommy. my pc sucks dick...i could never hope to run a new pc game on it...but even if i could, halo 2 would still be on the xbox for me because smoking and playing multiplayer with a couple of other people (on the same tv) is like a college ritual. i havent looked but i'd imagine that it only has like four seeds on suprnova and there's like 600 people downloading it....my internet is only worth maybe 6 kbs at its very peak. xbox live seems to work fine on most games but cs is the laggiest shit ive ever seen, men of valor worked fine, and i'm hoping the same for halo.
 
Nah man I'm not attacking you, just joking around. Feel free to "trash" me again anytime, but please make sure it's an arguement that can actually be won;). You'd also deserve to be busted if you're using supernova. I hate that site, it's being watched, hardly anyone seeds etc. Personally, I won't touch a fps game unless I have a keyboard and mouse. I learned to play with them on wolfenstein and doom, I'm not switching to a controller and sub par graphics now.
 
what the hell, i thought those were the only sites in town....damn net nerds, not letting the normal people know whats up....if not suprnova or lokitorrent (which i think is a mirror anyways) then what????
