Holy Gouging Batman.... 10k per year? 7K? Wow!!! I pay between $365-425 in annual premiums for my bikes. Since they're suspended from use for about 4 or more months here in the frozen North, it ends up even cheaper. It's about $8 per month per bike for the fire and theft comprehensive. It works out to about $265-300 total cost per bike per year's insurance.

I'm w/ state farms WA - '08 1098 w/ 2 tickets $46/month $500 deductible, no vehicles or house w/ them, and according to last month's conversation tickets do not affect policy - due to the way they underwite it as toys or something like that - but state farms did say that my auto/home insurance will probably raise my payments.
Most Harley/Sportbikes dealers recommend statefarms here in WA anyway

I'm still in awe of those quotes....even one in the 190's/mo. range. My '08 1098s is 35.33/mo. Full coverage with State Farm, $500 deductible. And like I said before, it's about $8/mo. for just fire and theft for the 4 1/2 months that I'm not able to ride it.

How old are you guys? Because when I tried State Farm I was 19. And I already had 2 cars and life insruance through them and they wouldn't let me insure my 600. They said I had to have my full G license for 5 years before they'd insure me. WTF does a G license have to do with a motorcycle. And I had my G at the time just not for 5 years. This will be 2nd year now with the full. I didn't have any riding experience, that's got to be why. I think they're just feeding me shit and telling me it's all good.

Anyone has any idea of the existance of insurance for track riding only? I other words is any of you aware of any insurance company that will cover a bike that doesn't have a tag?

Hurts to say it since I'm only 16 on the inside, but this next week I'll turn 46. Ouch!!! I've been with State Farm for 23 years, have had numerous tickets over the years (I'm typing with one hand and knocking on wood with the other)....have had 3 comprehensive claims due to flood, hail, and a breakin. Also have had two accidents (neither my fault and successfully abated). It may help that all our insurance is with them as well, but I've always found their rates 'way' better than elsewhere. Even when I was 23, which of course must have been 7 years from now.
