I got a letter yesterday saying that my insurance is expired on August 13.

I thought fine, whatever, I'll renew it on or around August 13.

Then I kept reading, and it said that it would cost me 3000 dollars for 6 months. That's almost triple what I was paying before. Needless to say, I was not happy.

So, I'm going to phone them up or pay them a visit and be like "wtf?"

Insurance companies are scamming, lying pieces of shit that don't care about you. Only your money.

what kind of insurance is it? What state do you live in? Do you really need the insurance? Why would they just jack up the rates like that if you have not given them any real reason?

Car insurance, with no collision. Can't remember if I put comprehensive insurance on it. I think I did. I'd park my car and say fuck it, but I use it to go out of town a lot, so that wouldn't work. So yes, I need it. And I'm going to phone them or visit them and see what the deal is.
 
What do you expect though? They are a business and they want to maximise profits. Try and find a better deal with another company.
