For starters the Vista Cruise was not designed to be used with Kuryakyn ISO grips so a little extra work is required. Thought I would put this on the forum for those who know how to utilize the search feature. Ha Ha!!
)Install bar clamp between the switch housing and mirror/brake housing. I had to loosen my housing to get the clamp to fit. Tighten the bar clamp bolts just enough that the bar clamp can be rotated.
)Install long arm on bar clamp
)Select the rubber spacer that is meant to be cut for larger diameter grips.
)Cut this spacer 1/32" smaller than the cut line. (spacer will be about 1/8" thick not counting the thin ledge on the spacer.
)Slip the clamp ring on the bar until it touches the inside end of the grip.
)Begin pushing with a small dull screwdriver, a little to get it started, the spacer under the clamp where the rubber grip pads are gaped.
)Hold the grip and rotate the clamp 1/8 turn counter clockwise and push more of the spacer into the gap between the pads and under the clamp. Keep rotating the clamp and pushing the spacer in until all of the spacer is under the clamp. This was not very easy.
)Install flip lever using the longer of the two allen bolts supplied.
)Measure the gap between the flip lever and bar clamp arm. Cut the round spacer to length. Mine was 3/8" and I used my japanese pull saw and vise grip to hold the spacer while cutting. I guess this is optional but I wanted the spacer in there to secure the unit and dress it up a bit.
)The rest of the directions that come with the cruise control can now be applied as normal.
I kinda jumped the gun with this due to the fact that it is Feb. in Minnesota and we are expecting 5" to 7" of snow tonight. Can't really try it out for a couple three months but I am bored so WTH!!!
