inside man

Yeah, I went to a free preview -they buggered up the film so we had to go back the next day but I thought it was a good film - very well thought through plotline (I hate holes in the plot of a film) could have been cut a bit shorter though in my opinion.

Saw it last week, thought I'd fallen asleep half way through cos nothing really made sense. Didnt see the point of Jodie Foster's character. Just found it incredibly dull and disappointing in comparison to the trailer.

Saw it this weekend, very enjoyable. I never guessed what the purpose of the heist was until the end (although I guess it may be obvious to others) and the dialogue was very sharp and funny, with some classic lines and scenes. I can definitely recommend this.

Jodie Foster must really need the money because her part was ridiculous. Saw it at a free preview, glad it cost me nothing because it's a poor, poor film.

I thought it was a pretty good film, but not as great as many people are making out.

I think that some of the middle parts of the film were unnecessary, and didn't add anything to the plotline at all. Also, I agree that Jodie Foster's role seemed completely pointless.

One final question that's been bugging me, because my frienRAB and I can't see the point of the storyline, unless we've majorly misunderstood it.

I've put the storyline as I understand it in spoilers, just incase someone who is planning on watching the film reaRAB this thread.

As I understand it, the bank owner (Albert Case) told the robbers to steal the contents of that safety deposit box, as it contained evidence that he became rich doing business with the Nazis. If I'm right, and the guy owns the bank, why didn't he just walk in and empty the deposit box himself?!
Also, I don't fully understand the 'secret room' bit. Were the robbers drilling a pathway into the secret room behind the storage room? AND, when was the storage room built, because it seems that it was designed so that there was a 'secret room' behind it!

I hate it when I'm not sure whether I understand a film, so can someone explain whether or not I am right please.

Thanks

wasn't the drilling to make a hole to use as a toilet? they even said something like "that's a nice little shithole", but I didn't pick up on it at the time they said it!

As I understand it, the bank owner didn't ask them to steal the contents, which explains why he went white as a sheet when he was told about the heist. Somehow the robbers knew what was in the deposit box and were using it as a sort of insurance policy in case they got caught taking the gems.
I'm still not sure what the purpose of the hole was, but I think the robbers built a false wall for the guy to hide behind, although you'd have thought one of the employees would eventually notice the room was a bit smaller than usual.

I went to see Inside Man last night and I found it to be a very average but nothing very special. I was disappointed by it as I expected more from what I seen in trailers!
It is worth going to see in cinema but I dont think I will be buying it on DVD!
