To cut a long story short, somebody broke their ankle due to uneven ground in a layby outside some shops, whilst posting a letter.
The council deny that the ground is theirs, although they tarmac and maintain the road all around it.
Searching on the land registry comes up with nothing.
The two shops off the layby are not responding to solicitors letters to either admit or deny owning it.
Does anyone know a way of finding out or getting someone to own up here?
