start an imaginary business? For one of my projects we have to start an imaginary business. It has to be about something we don't know a whole lot about which makes it harder. I decided to do a store that sells things for outdoor recreation, because I really like to go camping so at least I know a bit about it... not really but yeah.. haha so I was thinking something like a Cabellas or Gander Mountain.
Anyways, I need to know:
1. business concept
2. Products ( I'm thinking clothing like boots, jackets, sweatshirts etc. Fishing stuff like rods, reels, tackle boxes, lures, ice houses etc. hunting stuff like guns, bullets, umm... i dont know much about hunting, and camping stuff like tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, bug spray, dishes sets etc.... what else would a store like this sell?)
3. How does my store differ from the competition?
4. What is the personality?
And then I need to think of some names I need some descriptive, logical names like: Lissa's Sport Shop or Outdoors Unlimited. I need some Abstract names. Some examples for other businesses would be like Kodak or Xerox. I need some Acronym names like LSS for Lissa's Sport Shop. And I need some metaphore names, not sure what that means.
I'm not looking for specific answers to each question, I just need a starting point like what products do I sell? What are some name ideas? anything will help. And don't worry, by answering these questions you're not doing my homework for me. I'm an art student. We have to figure all this out and then the actual assignment is to create a logo, business card, letterhead, packaging and all that fun stuff.
