infection... inside my earlobe?

Keeping the lobes very clean 3 to 4 times a day with soap and water is the best but then you need to also rub into the lobes some topical antibiotic. You are apparently allergic to the metal on the post of the earring...If the posts of the earring are not real gold or real surgical stainless steel it is likely that the earlobe will never heal. You have to stop wearing all kinds of earrings in that ear and just wear the post you were given with the initial piercing to keep the hole open until it is healed...it may take months. IF this was a home piercing you will have to buy some real gold posts to wear while this ear heals. This is going to be a very slow process. Good luck.

If the antibiotic ointment doesn't seem to be working or it gets worse head to the doctor. I had the same sort of thing behind my right ear, where the lobe meets your head, tried the ointment but it never really cleared up, went to the doctor and it turned out to be a boil/abcess. I had to use some super-strength prescription ointment to get it to heal. Hopefully the antibiotic ointment and cleaning works for you. But just thought I would share this tidbit on the chance that it may possibly be useful.

Before I realized I am sensitive to nickel, I would have to use peroxide to clear up the infections. Much better than alcohol. And tea tree oil is more effective and safer than antibiotic ointments and creams. Buy only pharmaceutical grade of tea tree oil, make sure it's in a brown bottle, and no double dipping. Use a cotton swab once, and if you need additional tea tree oil, use the other end or a new swab, as it's easily contaminated.

I can usually make it through the work day with my silver earrings, but my ears will be so sore the next day, I won't be able to wear anything. White gold gives me the look of silver without the problems.
