Looking for a somewhat "inexpensive" used sports car. AWD or RWD, absolutely no FWD. I would like somthing quick without having to be really modified. Budget for initial purchase: Up to $12,000.
I currently have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8TQM with full GT2871R setup ~ 300 AWHP. And anyone who has experienced the car; its a f$&#ing pain to maintain!
Here is what I have thought up:

Audi S4
BMW M3 - (E36)
350z (03-04)
VW R32
STI and WRX are out of my price range
GSX
TSI
SC300
I dont want anything that needs to be heavily modified to make good HP #'s or good time on a track. This includes (240sx, miata, silvia, mustangs, anything american, etc)
Have any reccomendations of anything I missed?
