indoors versus outdoors for plants?

i have a few sunflowers growing outside and one growing inside. i know that when it starts getting colder the ones outside will die. but will the inside one die? or will it just reach a maximum height and keep living?

Sunflowers are annuals, so they're only going to live for one year almost no matter what you do.
