Don't you think it depends on where you live? I am in the UK with a large green area on an estate,no coyotes! we don't have them. The biggest danger might be foxes but they only appear at night when my cat is indoors, very happy after her adventures. I admit she chases birds and butterflies but I have never had any given to me as a "present". Only one thing worries me is the council's weed control policy but I am going to look into that,I have been told that they use "friendly" pesticide whatever that is. I am looking into it. She is a healthy happy cat. I just feel that those, who keep telling me my cat won't live as long are very dogmatic and so sure they are right. Maybe they are but my cat will have had one fantastic life. To sum up I had a friend whose cat went out and it lived till 21!
No there are no snakes. We do have a snake in UK the adder which can be poisonous. Their habitat is more in the woods and forests not where civilisation is.
