Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: He's back! (spoilers)

I saw this on the opening day, and I really enjoyed it. It's still got the humour, fun and excitement of the first three movies, which is a relief because I was worried it'd be below par. The action was great, and Shia was AWESOME as Mutt, he and HF made a great team! I loved their dynamic. Harrison was great too, although during the opening scene, I think it was really obvious how much he's aged, because he just seemed slower than normal. As the film goes on though, it becomes less noticeable, so it's all good!

[sp]I didn't like the alien thing, though. Indiano Jones has always been wacky, but that felt like it was just going a step too far, and was a bit too outrageous. It's like they tried to modernise it, but I think they blew it a bit.[/sp]

Overall, it's still a wonderful watch, and it has the magic of the old Indy movies.

Thanks for your support on that Insanitic.

[sp]Not many people find it easy to believe in the existence of extraterrestials. To most it's just a bunch of fiction and nothing more but there is too much evidence to suggest otherwise.[/sp]

Hope to see Indiana in theaters once more before it comes out. Now the only thing is a matter of when.

Don't know when I'll be on again so have fun. And if I have access to a computer sometime within the next 3 months I'll come and see how this Indy thread is doing.

Have fun for those who plan to see it.

I didn't like it. I've seen worse and the romance in it was wonderful. The action was wonderful, but at the end of the day I went to see an action flick, not a sci-fi flick.

i can understand where a lot of people were dissapointed in the movie, but i personally loved it! like so much. yes it was cheesy, and some of the sorylines were a bit farfetched, but its Indiana Jones, i mean they are all cheesy!
of course i didnt like it as much as the originals, but i thought the chemistry with the actors was phenomenal! even as a huge Shia fan, i was almost scared that he just wouldnt fit in this movie, but he was fantastic! and i was completely entertained from beginning to end, which is all that i can ask for

I'm quite shocked that there in no Indy board on FF. He and is movies totally deserve it. Yay for Marion and Indy in this new saga, my shipper heart was beyond happy!!!!!!!!:love: Love all the references to Raiders. The story was kinda weak, and there could have been more charming new banter. Seems all we got was old school rehash and special effects, but the lines we did get were great. It will never be the old movies, but this movie was not with out it's own magic. Saluting the past was the main thing, and so fun. All the tributes to Marcus were super. And it was delightful Henry Sr was so well remembered. Shia was a perfect choice for the role of Mutt. Love the boys bonding before the big father/son reveal. Thought Marion telling the truth in the quick sand was a super and way amusing touch. I was sad tho that she didn't seem to really react to or explain Indy's fear of snakes to Mutt. It's like she forgot Indy hated snakes. Of course, can't complain too much, the wedding so was the dream union we all were waiting for!!!!!!!:party:

I loved it, a great fun action movie..it's been years since I've seen Indiana at the cinema.

The only thing that really stretched the limits of belief was when

[sp]he escaped the atomic bomb blast in a fridge and then survived it being blown away by said bomb blast![/sp]

Just saw it today, and I absolutely loved it! It was exciting and funny and that to me is what the series has always been about! Harrison Ford's still got it! :D

I thought the scenes were ridiculously long

The editing sucked and the direction wasn't that flash either.

It was a poorly executed film on many levels.

The only parts I enjoyed featured Shia and his interaction with Harrison.

Am I the only one who though Cate's acting was laughably terrible?

I agree with R2Roswell about [sp]The Aliens thing. I mean hello people! There's actually way more evidence that there could be Aliens out there than there is for God ;) No offense to any religious people, it's just a fact. There was nothing far-fetched about it.[/sp]

Mutt was totally HOT ,another reason why I  shia now!
Haha i told my friend about mutt & she thought i was saying a "Large dog" because you know mutt = dog haha. but now she knows! I find that funny haha.

I absolutely agree with the 'it didn't fit' part.
Just didn't at all.
Didn't make sense.

I loved it and wanna see it again  although..

[sp] the alien thing was sort of lame but the movie did take place in the 50's when the stuff with Area 51 was going on right? plus the fake nuclear town stuff was going on back then as well with testing the bombs.[/sp]

[sp] I LOOOOOVED actually mutt swinging through the tree's haha i thought of spidey through all of it but i mean thats indy haha the first 3 where he took the boat & used it as a parachute & went for a ride then landed on water haha like that would happen! Its so corny but I:love: it. Indy still owns! & I LOVED the ending i was totallly blown away haha i knew there would be aliens! ;)[/sp]

[sp]I wasn't a fan of theidea of an alien species and that being the climax of the film. Plus some of the chase scenes (mainly Mutt swinging with the moneys  ) were a tad on th corny side.[/sp]
