Hey all!

Was just wondering if any of the shops will be doing a first week offer? I can remember the majority of the big films last year were offered on a discount on thier first week of release on dvd (Harry Potter, Pirates of the Carribean, Simpsons Movie, Hairspray, Shrek the Third) and was just wondering if anyone knew if any of the shops would be doing any offers?

Thanks in advance :)

Seriously? That's excellent. I'll have to pop in.

Pity sites like Play.com and CD Wow aren't offering anything on this. I would have bought it for a tenner online, but

Is that for a 1 disc or 2 disc version though? (Presuming there is a 1 disc version out there)

I pre-ordered The Incredible Hulk Steelbook from Play for

As far as I can tell, looking on various websites, there is only a 2 disc edition (although there are 2 versions of the packaging, one comes in a steelbook, the other is just normal packaging).

I am hoping the same. I enjoyed it to be fair, and found it no more outrageously unbelievable than Biblical Ghosts, Magic Rocks, and 800 year old knights

I'll use spoilers I guess for this post.

I actually thought it was good for the first half, I can live with the Gophers as stupid as they are and I must be one of the few who likes the fridge scene, it's not really much more absurd than the jumping out of a place, falling off a cliff dinghy scene in TOD, I like the setting and themes and all the 50's stuff, all fits in well with movies of the day back then. Even the start of the Jungle chase scene was good, then Shia started sword fighting and for me it went totally downhill.

It started with that, then we are given one of the most ridiculous, stupid and nauseating scenes in cinema history, the jungle vine scene was an abomination, whoever thought that scene would be good neeRAB shooting, I think it was just an excuse for George Lucas to insert more cute furry animals into the movie. Then the Ants, I know killer ants fit quite nicely with all those 50's b movies but I wasn't keen, I just felt like I was watching the Mummy Returns, the waterfall scene, terrible again, I think I'll stop there as i'm just reminding myself about some of the totally crap scenes the second half of this movie churned out :(

The film has lots of positives and great scenes (Ford is still great as Indy) but is just let down by the negatives and shit scenes, which pretty much come in the second half of the movie. I think the problem this movie will have is that a lot of us grew up watching these movies and viewed them as kiRAB originally and while viewing the new film as an adult doesn't excuse some of the shit bits of the movie it certainly does have an effect on ones viewing experience, add into that I think the movie going public are a far more cynical bunch thesedays anyway so it was never going to live up to expections. I'm hoping it will improve with repeat viewings.

I'm sure being kicked repeatedly in the gonaRAB improves over time.

Why anyone would want to willingly subject themselves to such torture is another matter. ;)

I've seen the Bluray version and agree with you. The only part that doesn't is the slow middle section of the film where they are actually finding the skull.

Would agree with the comments about it being decent till halfway, I was thinking hey this isn't so bad after all, then the Tarzan Bit, the waterfall bit, the Mummy Returns ending, the lesser characters exiting left in really obvious ways. The characters apart from Indy were all very one dimensional, and Marion seems to have returned as grinning idiot. I wish Lucas would stop this business of ruining classic franchises.
