Independence Day Sequels

ID4-f**k sake!!

It's dead, a dull silly film that doesn't need resurrecting, it's bad enough he can still make films (that are all pretty much the same), so how is this gonna work, or more to the point work in a way that will differ from his other films. Move on Roland, quickly please.... off you go!

It'll go all Matrix reloaded/revolutions ie: rubbish.
Those sequels killed the brilliance of the original for me.
Then again ID4 was far to cheesy blockbuster for me.

13 years. ID4 was Summer 1996. (Yeah, the crazy summer of 96... ahhhh.. football and oasis...) I brought it and an Goldeneye edition N64 from HMV at Christmas 1996. The N64 came complete with a golden controller :D

Loved Independance Day one of my all time favourites! a sequel ? yes at the time of the origional would have loved a sequel not so sure now ! if a sequel was to be done it should have been done up to 5 years after the first one ..and to keep the same cast doing it after 13 +years no wouldnt work aswell ! sometimes sequels only work in a limited time scale after the origional !

I've always wanted to see a Brittish ID4 showing how the arrival, the attack and the counter-attacks were dealt with above British soil.

A sequel though i think would damage it.

It's like with the Indy Movies. I liked Indy 4 but they left it far too late to do the 3rd sequel to "Raiders". They missed a great opportunity to make an even bigger franchise over the years.

If they are going to make these "Independence Day" sequels they'd better write some scripts that do justice to the original because if they don't they will destroy the whole concept and belittle what they managed to achieve with the original.
