Hi everyone,

I found an article relating to a peer reviewed experiment regarding intra-dermal injectable fillers. The experiment was originally conducted to determine whether or not botox could help facial scars. Saline was used as a control substance, and the results from both injectibles was to be compared. Independent observers noted that after a significant period of time had gone by, a single botox injection was rated to have improved scars by 89%, while Saline by 71%. This is good news for people with acne scars, because it shows that multiple saline injections can be nearly as effective as many other far more dangerous and expensive fillers.

While this article does not give detailed information about the experiment itself and types of scars treated, it certainly does prove that saline is effective for treating acne scars. I have begun this treatment on myself using 31 gauge needles and I find it to be very effective in corabination with 'aggressive' needling (using two different derma-rollers with respective needle lengths of 0.75mm [once every week] and 2mm [once every 2 months]). My scars have already improved more than 80% in the last 9-10 months! I will keep everyone updated if this thread comes back to life. If not, I wish you all the best of luck, happiness and beauty... :)
