It's not a sequel either. It's more of a reworking.

The director has said it follows the timeline of the original, similarly to how "Aliens" followed "Alien" but was a totally different kind of movie. This can only be a good thing. The "first" was appalling.... a overwrought bogie fights mutant poodles? No thanks, Ang.....

I read an interview with Norton and he used the word "reboot".

He compared it to what Batman Begins is to Batman.

Although (unlike BB) the new Hulk will be set after the original one, and will not contradict anything from it. It will just not make any reference to it either. It's a smart move, as it will be a sequel to those that like the Ang Lee film, and a new start for those that didn't - hopefully making the film all things to all people.

It does look like standard action movie stuff. Typical showdown in NY with cars being thrown about with a baddie who was normal but now has near equal strength but just not enough to win.

TBH I just not a Hulk fan but in others eyes this may look great. At least it looks better then the first.
