Inbetweeners Series 3 Discussion

My 22 year old daughter used to watch the Inbetweeners on the TV in her bedroom, I had never heard of it until 3 weeks ago..... Her TV broke and she asked me if she watch it on the main TV - I am normally watching something else as this time. No problem, I said, and she wa squirming as I continued to work on my laptop, with one eye on the TV. Like the above she expected me to be horrified. I tried not to laugh at it but couldn't help it. I think that was the episode where one lad went to stay at his girlfriend's and the rest went too.

The next week, I was making sure I didn't miss it! So I only saw the last 3 episodes of the last series and will definately be buying my daughter the Series 1 - 3 boxset DVD's for Christmas - so that I can watch it too. Already checked out the release date on Amazon!

Loved the episode where the posh boy (don't know their names) was left home alone while his mother went away for the weekend. Real laugh out loud stuff.

So yes, Inbetweeners appeals to the 50 somethings too. :D:D. We were all young once........... ;);)

In fact a simialr thing happened to my husband and myself with his mum & dad. We were on a boating holiday (confined space) when Blackadder 2 was on for the first time - mid/late 1980's. It was not to be missed comedy gold then, We had watched previous episodes, they had never seen it. Unfortunaltely for us it was the episode where Edmund & Baldrick become prostitutes, I will never forget mother in law's horror or our embarrasment when the burly sailor asked Blackadder "How much for a good hard shag":eek::eek: We tried not to laugh but she definately didn't see the funny side....:o

Hmmm... for me, this was the worst episode ever; in fact, it's the only Inbetweeners episode I would describe as being quite poor.

Agree with the previous poster who said they were missing the school/Carly etc. I think that's what this episode needed - more interaction with other characters, expecially the girls - without them, their comments didn't have the same bite or OMG factor. I'm not one for getting outraged at OTT animal scenes, but the squirrel one tonight wasn't really very funny, was it? Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how many complaints it receives (from people who didn't watch the progeamme).

would they show a female cast member walking down the aisle in a bikini with her outer labia hanging out the side?

Im sick of all this one-sided nudity in all these shows! Give us some naked women for a change.

I thought there were a lot stronger mentions of other things in the last series? I took the line to mean tribunal wise as well.

I like Greg Davies in this. I like him as a comedian, but think he's much better as a comedic actor. I'm counting I Am Klang as stand up, not comedic acting.

How close to the end of the year was this episode supposed to be? Surely if only half way through the year they could have easilyy got another searies out of it, like series 1&2 were first year, 3&4 should be 2nd. If this was supposed to be coming to the end of second year, the issue of Simon leaving would have been irrelevant, as they would have all been going off to uni anyway, and even if they were planning on going to the same Uni, Simon would just meet up with (at least one of them) at Uni a few months later?

Too true :( He's a fantastic character, they need to use him more. Although this series has been set a lot more outside of school hasn't it, so I guess there's no way of writing him in.

Thought this weeks was great, possibly the best of this series so far.

They could've done so much more with that final episode, more melancholy would've been appropriate.

The Inbetweeners should've had another series after this one, (i.e. this one covering autumn term, and final series covering their last term of Sixth Form).

For example, the sinking of the car was a brilliant device - Jay and Neil saying it was inevitable - a metaphor for their group being inevitably over with Simon's departure.

It would've been nice to see the group turning on each other more, showing their worst sides - Jay showing his true colours, for instance.

2/5

i dont see how a season could dampen a shows past and reputation unless it drasticly gos off rails with recasting or missing main characters or SLs being droped or picked up then droped again.

s3 of inbetweeners has been in tone with the other two and all the essentials carRAB were there you may not have found it as funny ok but it didt ruin the other two seasons in the long haul looking at the complete show a s3 ep could easliy have fitted into a s1 or 2 episode
