Inbetweeners Series 3 Discussion

I thought that and broadly in line with the rest of your post.
However I doubt the programme intentionally went 'dark'. I think it was just meant as a throwaway shock line for laughs.

However, if they intend on building a darker more serious narrative for a film, then of course it may have been genuinely dark.
But do Inbetweeners fans who go to see a film of it want to see a sad story of childhood torment? I doubt it and wouldn't expect the makers to do so.

Like some have pointed out, it did seem to a vague ending. I guess with the film, and reported one of special this might be the reason why. If i was boss of E4 i'd be on the phone to the creators throwing x amount of money for them to make a fourth series, which would ramp up more excitement for the film.

The Inbetweeners was so good last night. I too was worried that it may start becoming repetitive or lack the same comedic appeal but I could not have been more wrong.
Definitely as funny as it's ever been with so many true laugh out loud moments. Joe who plays Simon was quite brave doing the hilarious brainage scene. Bet he had have a few stiff ones beforehand!

anyone see a trailer for next week? can't find it on channel 4 site yet. the only thing i laughed about in this weeks was when Will kicked the door :D

The uni thing would work if :

Will applies to Cambridge, Oxford, etc but because of some cock up, either bad results or his mum not posting the form off he has to go through clearing and enRAB up at the same place that Simon and Jay have managed to get into.
Neil, well he would just hang around with them and only at the end of the series would one of them actually ask him why he is there. He just says "Dunno i just followed you lot".

Alright its contrived, but the series is not being played at 100% realistic, although i think we have all been in the situations they have been in.
