In your opinion, was 'The Omen' (1976) really freaky?

I'm thinking about watching it because my friends say it's really good, but I'm not very good with the whole horror thing like creepy looking people such as the girl from The Ring or The Grudge.

So just how gross was it? imdb tells me a bit, but yeah, i'm kinda paranoid about my sleep :)

Personal opinion about the movie itself is welcome as well.
 
Only if you're superstitious.

There are only about two or three "scare" scenes, if I recall correctly. The rest is investigation, I think. Frankly, I can't remember much about it even though I saw it two years ago. It was simply unmemorable.
