In wildlife documentaries, why don't they show the suspected animals?

I have watched animal planet, discovery channel, History channel and national geographic and science channels a lot for years. Why don't they show actual footage of the real animals, like big foot, loch ness monster, big exotic cats in american forests and suspected dinosaurs living in Africa? I believe they have actual footage but don't want to release it to the media? They just show the evidence of what could be there but seems like they just try to keep up the suspense for the audience.

I've seen a lot of the "bigfoot" and "loch ness monster" footage on youtube. Those could be just about anything, and the pictures and videos are always incredibly bad to the point where you can barely even make out a figure at all. So they don't post it likely because it's so sketchy.

They do not show this kind of footage because those things are folklore. Unreal tales created to stir imagination, and those in the masses that want to believe spread rumors and false sightings. I think people want to believe those things exist, but in reality, they do not. So....you end up with no footage...no proof...no evidence, nothing at all factual that would lend any credibility to the existence of these creatures.
