In winter, how to set the temperature dials so that the car window would not fog up, and at the same time, heat up the car. Also in rainy days?

Scottie's answer is good -- this one's better...

Set temp setting to hottest, turn the vent(s) to def/heat. (That's upper and lower). Adjust to ventilate OUTSIDE air, that's the arrow coming in. Turn on the a/c button. Crack the passenger side window an inch. Activate the rear defrost (if applicable). Adjust heat setting as necessary for comfort, but the windows will be pristine ! Promise.

All i do in Winter when the windows are fogging up is flick the Air Conditioning switch or button on while i have got the heat turned up. Thats if your car has air-con.

Having the air con switched on while the heat is on does not cool the air down it dries it out therefore defogging the window in minimal time.

this is the best way to keep the windows clear.
