I'm an openly gay man of almost 20, and I often feel like I can't really find a place or a niche in society that suits me. The gay community, while comprised of very accepting and kind people, are often just too "Gay" (for lack of a better term) for my taste. Granted I have no problem with femininity in other guys and make no mistake I am not ashamed or disgusted by who I am or the gay community, I just find the gay culture a bit much for me and I don't really feel like I fit in very often. The straight community on the other hand isnt as accepting and I constantly come up against either opposition and disdain, or awkwardness and forced tolerance when I tell people I'm gay (people never know until I tell them). I guess what Im asking here is where does a straight person with gay hormones fit in in the whole social spectrum and where can I find others like me? Does anyone else have this issue?
